Angels Camp, CA – A Calaveras County educator has been recognized by hundreds as a top education administrator.

Jared Hungerford has been named Administrator of the Year for Adult Education by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), Region 7. With more than 17,000 California educators, the ACSA is the largest umbrella organization for school principals in the United States, according to its website. The group explains, “Their number one priority is advocating for public school students in kindergarten through 12th grade as well as adult learners. Our mission is to be the driving force behind education in California and beyond. “

Hungerford is the Curriculum Director and Classroom / Adult Education Coordinator for the Calaveras County Office of Education at Angels Camp.

He received the coveted title from a field of over 750 education leaders from Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties, which are part of ACSA Region 7. ACSA serves administrators in 19 regions across California, each composed of local charters.
