WASHINGTON — The marketing campaign of South Carolina Democrat Jaime Harrison mentioned Sunday it had raised a colossal $57 million up to now three months, a record-breaking sum aimed toward unseating Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The spectacular $57 million Harrison raised from July by September shatters the earlier report of $38.1 million then-Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke raised in the third quarter of 2018.
The only-quarter haul brings Harrison’s marketing campaign complete to $86 million this cycle.
And whereas Sen. Graham has not but launched his third-quarter fundraising he mentioned in a pair of interviews final month on Fox Information that he was “being killed financially.”
“I am being killed financially. This cash is as a result of they hate my guts,” Graham mentioned throughout an interview on “Fox & Buddies” on Sept. 24. Later that night he instructed Fox host Sean Hannity that he wanted monetary assist along with his Senate race.
“I am getting overwhelmed,” Graham instructed Hannity, including: “Assist me. They’re killing me moneywise. Assist me. You probably did final week. Assist me once more.”

Graham, considered one of Trump’s closest allies in Congress, is going through probably the most aggressive reelection marketing campaign of his political profession as he fights for a fourth time period.
Graham was final re-elected to the Senate in 2014.
This week, the three-term senator will oversee as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee the affirmation hearings for President Donald Trump’s Supreme Courtroom nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
